Reconstruction of the Areola and Nipple

In patients who have had the areola and nipple removed during breast cancer surgery, it is possible to reconstruct the nipple and areola after breast reconstruction—provided there is sufficient skin and subcutaneous tissue.
This procedure involves delicate surgery to create a relatively natural shape of the nipple and areola, and if needed, color matching close to natural tones can be achieved through tattooing.
