This is a two-stage procedure. First, through an incision at the site of the previous surgical scar, a round, hollow tissue expander is placed under the tissue, and necessary repairs are made.<br \/>During follow-up outpatient visits, repeated saline solution injections into the reservoir located under the skin gradually stretch the skin, creating volume and projection.
